An American Heart Association Designated Training Center

Check out our NEW Philips HeartStart OnSite AED Defibrillator.

Recently, Philips Medical Systems received approval through the FDA to offer the Philips OnSite AED for home use without a prescription.  This decision was supported by the American Heart Association.  We are now a supplier of Philips AEDs.  The Philips AED has two distinct features that separate it from the competition.  Philips is the only AED manufacturer that has never had a recall with over 250,000 units sold.  It is the most reliable AED on the market.  In addition to reliability, the Philips unit is by far the easiest to use.  Philips claims that even an 8-year-old could operate the OnSite.  The clear and concise voice prompts, along with detailed diagrams, the Philips AED makes defibrillation easy for anyone to use.

State Patrol Troopers Help Save Life
at Governor’s Mansion

By: Komo Staff

OLYMPIA – A 70-year-old woman probably owes her life to some quick thinking State Patrol troopers and a Good Samaritan after she collapsed from an apparent heart attack.

The woman was taking a tour of the Governor’s Mansion Wednesday afternoon when she collapsed in front of the State Patrol security office.

Trooper Matthew Andersen went to get the mansion’s AED (Automated External Defibrillator) while a second trooper, Derek Anderson, administered CPR.  Anderson also administered the electric shock from the AED.  A nurse from the Vancouver, Washington area also helped out.

Anderson worked on the woman for about five minutes until medics arrived and she was then taken to Saint Peter’s Hospital in Olympia.  We’re told the woman has survived, but we don’t know her exact condition.

The troopers are relatively new on the job, having just been trained on the AED’s while at the State Patrol Academy just four months ago.
