Course Description: The Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals program is a 16-hour course designed to provide prehospital professionals with the education, skills and confidence necessary to effectively treat pediatric patients. Topics will include: Pediatric assessment triage, child development, basic and advanced airway management, trauma, child maltreatment, respiratory emergency, medical and cardiovascular emergencies, emergency deliver and newborn stabilization, IV access, child and family interaction as well as children with special needs.
