Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Prerequisite:  Non-expired HCP Card (HCP-R is available Friday before ACLS.) ACLS-P is required for all first time ACLS providers and is recommended for all others.

Course Description:  The Advanced Cardiac Life Support program is designed to prepare healthcare professionals whose occupation requires proficiency in ACLS skills. It is also appropriate for HCP who have some knowledge of cardiac rhythms and medications but have not been ACLS Providers in the past, or whose provider status has lapsed. This course provides in depth hands on practice requiring current HCP/CPR skills. An ACLS Provider card will be issued after successful completion of this course. This course will consist of a series of teaching evaluation stations including; airway management, arrhythmia management, pharmacology, cardioversion /defibrillation and a written evaluation. Pre and post tests are required to receive the 2 year certification for ACLS.  A study guide, ECG handbook, pretest and required manual (if purchased) will be mailed to all paid participants before the course.

Additional Information:

***ACLS Preparation Course (ACLS-P) is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for successful completion and is required for all first time ACLS providers and those who do not read rhythms frequently.***
