Prehospital Trauma Life Support - Instructor
Prerequisite: Non-expired PHTLS Card Course Description: The Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support – Instructor program teaches you how to be prepared to handle trauma patients in the prehospital environment. This course will help you to identify mechanisms of injury, interpret signs and symptoms, understand pathophysiology, recognize life-threatening injuries, and hone your assessment skills to perform appropriate interventions that will increase the chances for your patient's survival. To maintain current instructor status, you must teach a minimum of one program per year. Recognition of successful completion is for 4 years. Materials Needed for
Class: Bring a pen or pencil, a note pad, and a lunch (if needed). Additional Information: Refunds: The fee structure for the PHTLS course includes fees to National Association EMT. Due to the associated upfront expenses paid by CoMT. Course fees are non-refundable. * Note to ACLS & PALS Instructors: You will need to be monitored at the following provider course at CoMT. Renewals will not need to do this. |
