Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Instructor
Prerequisite: Non-expired HCP Card and PALS Provider Card. Course Description: The PALS – Instructor program is a 16-hour course designed for individuals proficient in PALS and 8hrs being precepted during a program. The purpose of a PALS Instructor course is to develop proficiency in teaching, organizing and conducting a provider course. PALS Instructors must have a firm working knowledge of the PALS material. Participants are expected to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of emergency cardiac care. Currently accepted principles of adult learning, the use of interactive teaching strategies, and the ability to sequence instruction and evaluate progress are essential parts of this course.
